Today, we will practice in honor of the LHA BAB DUCHEN Festival Day, 4:00-6:30 pm Pacific. There will be teachings with Lama Chonam and Sangye Khandro, then we will practice the Shakyamuni Buddha sadhana practice and will offer tsog.
LHA BAB DUCHEN,the”Festival of the Descent from Heaven,” occurs on the 22nd day of the9th Tibetan month. Previously, Buddhahad ascended to the Heaven of Thirty-Three in order to give teachings tobenefit the gods in the desire realms and to repay the kindness of his motherby liberating her from samsara. On this day, Buddha returned from heaven to earth.
